Does Forensic P2P provide me with the serial number of computers sharing certain
files?
No, because this is not possible. There is no serial number
that uniquely identifies a computer. Each part (hard drive, CPU, case, monitor, etc) may have their own serial
numbers but there is not a serial number that indentifies a specific computer because
computer parts can be interchanged.
Don't confuse a serial number with an IP (internet protocol) address. Every computer
connected to the internet has an IP address that identifies that computer. Forensic
P2P will reveal the IP addresses of users sharing files.
