Chat Watch SPEAR Edition 1 databases are NOT compatible with Chat Watch SPEAR
Edition 2. (This is because Chat Watch SPEAR Edition 2 uses Microsoft SQL Server
Compact Edition 3.5 and Chat Watch SPEAR Edition 1 used Microsoft SQL Server
Compact Edition 3.1. You can upgrade your Chat Watch SPEAR Edition 1
database to be used with Chat Watch SPEAR Edition 2 by clicking Upgrade Database
from Chat Watch SPEAR Edition 2's Tools menu. Upgrading the database will NOT
modify or delete the existing database. A new database compatible with Chat
Watch SPEAR Edition 2 named ###_v2.sdf will be created.
Chat Watch SPEAR Edition versions 1 and 2 can co-exist on the same computer. By
default, they will be installed to different folders under the Program Files
folder and separate Start menu groups will be created for each. |
